James Allen, owner of Auto Pro To Call, is a Chapel Hill, NC native. Born and raised just outside of Chapel Hill at a country store-service station, his automotive experience started early. James came to this location in 1984 as manager when it was owned by a local chain of tire stores and worked himself into a position to purchase the business in 1991.
Residing today in southwest Orange County with his wife of over 40 years; they have two sons, Lt. Col. Brent Allen, is an F-16 pilot in the S.C. Air Guard, and Mike Allen, who manages CarFix, James’ second shop in Garner. Bobby Coates is a true blue North Carolina Southern Gentleman. Born and raised in Person County, Bobby married his high school sweet heart. Together they raised two sons and now enjoy the freedoms of camping and grandchildren. Bobby served several years in the Army as an MP on the Crime Investigation Unit then started his career in the automotive industry with a major tire chain. He quickly realized that he could not care for his customers at a corporate owned store in a fashion that was consistent with his levels of service. That landed Bobby here at Auto Pro to Call for over 18 years where he consistently sets the benchmarks for customer service and performance.
Bobby has self-trained himself as a master of customer service with the mindset of developing long-term relationships with his customers. This has made Bobby more long-term friends than customers. Bobby Coates, the down-home favorite here at Auto Pro to Call.
